PDI Model SS1B

The SS1B is an intermittent duty spark shower igniter used for igniting fuel in the burner section of industrial turbine equipment. It provides a high power, high frequency ignition spark that ignites fuel inside the combustion chamber of burner or heat exchanger. The SS1B replaces the old motor driven magneto with a solid state, electrically driven ignition source. This eliminates costly moving parts and starting problems caused by magneto wear. The SS1B is designed for applications where the igniter is shut off after the fire is started and can be run for up to 5 minutes at a time. For igniter applications that require a continuous spark, use the model SS2B.

Input Power:  8 to 15 volts DC.  2 Amps continuous, 50 Amps surge. (24, 42 and 48 VDC and AC systems are available)
Output Power: 300 mili Joule per spark, 400 sparks per second @ 13.2 Volts input.
